happiness

i've finally attained enlightenment! recipe for happiness/ contentment is.... *drumrolls*....
not comparing!!

do you realise that you can be happily going about your own life and then one day, you meet up with somebody you know... and that person is doing very well (career, family, love, finance, looks, etc)... then all of a sudden, you are unhappy... why? because you compared!

if the person is somebody you don't really know, the impact is not so great. if it's somebody you know... and it's a peer!!.... same age!!!... then die.. you'll be depressed the very next day!!

to overcome this, just don't compare! we can't really compare one person to another anyway... there is no two person on this earth which is exactly alike.

Comparing is a trap. We do know that but seldom we dont compare, we usually compare. That's human being, we are just being human being. To me, happiness is asking/demanding less. Simplicity is happiness. If you use simple language in communication, you'll find communication is much more easier. If your mood is less complex ( less emotional ), then you'll find more passion in your mood/life. So simple is happy.

sometimes i observe my mum's miniature pincher .....
1) She is happy when got treats
2) She is happy when go kai kai
3) She is happy when we reach home
4) When none of the above, she sleeps.

Less is more. Contentment is the key. Knowing what one really wants is the key to contentment. Man, i have run out of my wise words, till later.
