goal oriented

after extensive survey it has been concluded :

men are only nice to women if
1) they are trying to get her (to be his partner/ into bed)
2) they have some other things to gain (monetary/ contacts/ access to other girls!)
3) they are bfs of your friends
4) they have been friends with you since long long time ago and they actually do enjoy your company (very low likelihood....)

posed this question to a guy. if a girl asked you for a game of pool. with a group of her friends. you like her as a friend. but you are not interested in her (not interested to make her his partner or to get her into bed). will you go?

guy asked :
1) have i met all her other friends?
yes
2) i found them nice?
you are not interested in them

then most likely, no!

what if u really love pool....

maaaaayyyybe. if the whole group are not freaky... (freaky in what sense ar??)

so, the conclusion is, if men are nice, they are interested. true ka?

china

i wonder how a chinese national feels about china... (yep, i'm still at it!! coz there are still people out there asking me about the trip)

i think it's sad... how china has turned out. the country has kinda overtaken it's people. you arrive there and you look around. it's big, yes, it also has all the tall nice buildings and big big roads, highways, etc. all signs of progress and development. and then you look again... and you see the people. the people in not-very-fashionable garments, with ankle high stockings, cycling on a flimsy black and silver coloured bike which doesn't look very new....

it feels as though the country is undergoing major renovation for the upcoming olympics... trying to make itself look powerful and prosperous.... and then to the villages they went, picked up the people and dropped them in the city. totally not in sync....

whatever growth they have tried to portay... doesn't look too convincing... doesn't look sustainable...

and the worst thing is it feels like everybody is out to con u!!! an extra dollar today is all they aim for... repeated business??? that's not important... sigh...

like a very wise friend would say.... it's not internalised... the vision of the country to be great, the desire to improve continuously, is not internalised...

wonder how the country would be about 5 years from now...? would it be as powerful as everybody tot

may i kiss u?

have u ever been asked? did u say yes?

based on a survey of an extremely small population, i think the success rate for those who ask are extremely low.

as nike says, "just do it"!

more "me"

will be hosting a few postings by my very good friends... this is an effort to make this blog more "me". i have been told that i have been too careful. filtering most of what goes into the blog. so, it only reflects part of "me".

in order to have more "me" element, i have decided that i'll host some postings from my very good friends. by knowing my friends, you'll know me!! :)

dunno if that'll work... but worth a try. so, ppl... submit your postings!

reckless or careful?

i think people fluctuate from being reckless to being careful and then back to being reckless. when one is young, things are done without much thought. as long as you feel like doing it. as long as it feels right.

after a couple of things that felt right actually going wrong, i guess we learn. then we are careful. but careful is boring. and slow. and un-exciting. then we'll think " what da @#%#".... and we'll be back to being reckless. that's probably when one would experience mid life crisis.

i think i'm entering mid life crisis~

it's seasonal

there are weekends when u have tonnes of friends calling you and wanting to meet up. there are things to do every other hour. with hardly any time to rest in between. and time flies by.

this weekend was not one of those.

was uneventful. but not boring. with plenty of time to think. i suppose it's good to have this sort of "time off". sometimes, we spend so much time being surrounded by people. we are uncertain if we can deal with having nobody to hang out with. this is especially so if time is spent with a particular person... all the time. what if for some reason, you can no longer spend time together? withdrawal symptoms, i suppose, during the weaning off period. that, i am sure, is no fun.

then again, should we start a friendship thinking it would end one day? too jaded??? but wouldn't it be naive to think "forever"?

been awhile...

... since i have really wrote anything. i wonder if i have changed over the past few weeks. i wonder if my style of writing has changed over the past few weeks.

it has been a pretty hectic 2 months. and finally there is a little bit of time to take a breather. and to consolidate my tots.

it has been raining the whole day today. had nothing much to do the whole afternoon. so, in a kinda pensive mood...felt like going out for a drink. felt like clubbing. as a matter of fact, i was mentally prepared to club last nite. but i took a shower after tennis. and i smell so nice. i decided i shall not waste the nice smell of lux shower gel. the pink one. so i slept. as usual. no brainer.

and tonite, i am in starbucks. taipan. with may. it's raining. not doing much. but it feels nice. to be in the company of a good friend. doing nothing much. should be doing this more often.

a little bit of bitching...

i hate people who don't know the concept of win-win. a lot of the times, i feel like the goose which lays golden eggs.... and i think a lot of people are out to slay me. cut open my uterus (goose have uterus?) and see if they can get all the eggs immediately.

i am dying to ask "are you STUPID???"

"do i look like mother theresa??? what do you think i am? a non-profit organization????"

sigh.... but i can't. not that i can't. maybe i can. it's a matter of whether i want to. maybe i will.

hong kong has beautiful people, no space.

i have discovered that i like fresh air. i like blue sky. i like space. i like lots and lots of space....
