my fav topic... broadband

my broadband is back. however, the line drops off every half an hour or so. apparently, my anti-virus software if killing the line. so i am suppose to connect without firewall??!!!!

super objective, all knowledgeable jason... pls answer : broadband without firewall?? can ar?

streamyx people... if any of yous ever stumble upon this site... can you please invest in more fibre optic cables or whatever it is you need to make this broadband thing work better??!!!! before you set up booths in carrefour and con people to sign up for things that don't work? i have called customer service 3 times so far.. and counting...

aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

anti virus or firewall is the cause of the problem now? two separate things altogether.

how did you come to this conclusion that one of this items is causing your streamyx to disconnect after being connected for a while?

the streamyx ppl asked me to turn off the anti virus/ firewall and then try again. If problem recur, to call them again.

hmm yet to hear of something like this. dont see how antivirus/firewall would affect your streamyx connection. since the software should not disconnect you in anyway based on its functionality alone.

so did you try doing that already? did it work?
