best of buddies..

today i went for dinner with a friend... and my friend's friends from primary school... and i discovered something!!! they also tease each other's father's name! AND grandfather's name!!! (ever noticed how the guys never ever messed with their mother's names??!!) they also have certain words that will start them giggling, then rolling on the floor... words that would mean nothing to another person!

it's startling how similar they are to my group of friends from primary school... you'll get the same warm fuzzy feel when with this group of people... these friends whom have known each other for donkey years, tease each other mercilessly (unless there is a new friend in the midst - they will try very hard to minimise the teasing - but will tease nevertheless), all in good faith! and somehow, despite all the teasing... you just know that they know they would be able to count on each other... always!

one of my primary school friend (yean) told me, "i'm lucky to have buddies like them"... and i told him, "i think we are all lucky to have each other"!

i think credit will have to be given to yuen - my bestest international darling - who went far far away when she was 13. every time you come back, we gather... and i think that played a major role in keeping the group together. also thanks to yean for all the chinese new year gambling sessions. not to mention the many bbq sessions. and of course, football/ futsal which kept the guys together...

everybody should have friends from primary school... :)

p.s : daniel included as part of group... though not really from primary school... he is soooo farni...

so teasing each others' fathers' names is a universal trend .... a bonding act, draws all of us closer, making the world a much better place for everyone.

Haha....seriously... it was that way in Ipoh too! Must be some act for us to learn our fren's daddy's names.

Amazing...anyways, today I met a friend's (from Ipoh) friend who is from KL who knew each other while studying in Boston. This friend's friend used to work in Singapore in the same company as another friend (from Ipoh). This shall add to your world is small conclusion. Flat? I dunno. Small - defn yes.
