based on a survey of an extremely small population, i think the success rate for those who ask are extremely low.

I have heard these words, unfortunately the guy was not asking me;it was man asked man (Gay). My male friend uses to told me that he has been asked by the Gay while he was still on bed during the outing trip so he was jumped up from his bed instantly and answer No! hahaha

It's a great way to court a girl, as it may create some flirty exchange of words.
Even if the girl is shy, and don't know how to reply....or just give a plain no reply...she most probably will feel flaterred.
